"Dreams of Dynamite and Divinity"
This band combine elements of Muse, Ash, and Queen to create some upbeat serious indie rock that is definitely in the same vein as the aforementioned Muse. They have mature lyrics, and some intellectual looking artwork and band name, but are they any good? Well indie has never really been my thing, but this band certainly are a good band, like I said they mix it up a bit to create something at least vaguely original. "Grace’s Estate" uses some diverse samples underlying the vocal stance to create the basis for the song, which does come off, but isn’t overlly impressive. However more powerful songs such as "When Picking Fights" do it a lot more for me with simple yet effective chords and beats coming together to create the song, whilst the Matt Belamy style vocals lace the song.
As many CDs that have passed through my reviewing gates of late it isn’t my thing, but this band are certainly good unlike a lot of others and deserve some praise.
